My Saturday so far...

I thought Ellie was just playing in the other room... when what she was really doing was pooping in her potty without telling me and she thought she could dump her poop in the toilet herself... yeah. She had poop on her hands, smeared on the toilet, in the sink (?!) and all over her potty chair.  I could hardly yell at her, at least she went in her potty... we've totally regressed in the potty area... filling pull-ups and even pooping in them at times... grrr... very frustrating.  So today I'm just throwing her in undies and going with it.  We will be potty trained by Monday morning.  I'm done with this!

Do you have any potty training tips for me?

Stand firm. Don't take a break. If you take a break, she will regress further and it will be even harder to get back on track.

We used peer pressure. All the kid's friends were big kids and big kids don't have potty problems.

I think pull-ups are a pain. They give all the same comfort as a diaper - if the child is playing and doesn't want to stop, they know they have a safety net. BUT if you have them in real panties, they get to feel the mess that they make. They get to feel how uncomfortable it is when they don't use the potty. I used to babysit a little boy and his parents were big on the pull-ups. They couldn't figure out why he wasn't getting potty trained. I finally told them my thoughts and feelings. So, they took my advice. It was only big boy undies and within TWO days, he was trained and good to go. We had to do the same thing with Seth and it worked out well. Good luck! :) Some days are worse than others, but she will get it!!!!

We've regressed on this end too. She won't wear panties. AT ALL. For days when we were home she was going in the potty, both pee and poop and then bam it stopped. I've tried putting panties on her but within seconds of me putting them on her she pees in them, and I think she's doing it on purpose. Drives me crazy. So if you ger her done by Monday, PLEASE send along some words of wisdom.

I have a few potty training horrors stories!
But all i would say is be firm, stick with it and plenty of rewards when she uses the potty. It worked for me while i was training the 4 boys.
Good Luck!
