yeah, i know. i rock.
So we are broke. Who isn't these days... but I needed a baptism outfit for Cooper. And I cannot stand those ugly tuxedo looking things they have in all the stores. (Sorry if your baby wore one, it's just my opinion.) I found this second hand baby store in Rochester, MN a year ago or so and I LOVE it! I was there a couple weeks ago and found this sweet little white Gap sweater with a matching hat for $5.99. Then a couple days later I was trying to figure out how I was going to find white pants and I just thought I'd check ebay. Well I found these adorable little Ralph Lauren corduroy pants for $5.99. How perfect was that! For less than $12 I have a super cute outfit. I'm proud of myself. Have you ever seen how much those little tux's cost!?!?! It's like one month of my cell phone bill! No. Thank. You.

I have never seen the tuxedo outfits you speak of. Most of the boys here just wear a traditional Christening gown, which makes them look like girls :). My nephew was baptized earlier this year, and my sister in law had a friend make his outfit. It was appropriate for a boy, which I thought was nice. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your choice for Cooper's baptism outfit. I kind of like going against tradition in these situation. LG was baptized on Christmas Eve, so I put her in a red dress...how's that for breaking tradition??
Your outfit is adorable! Jack is getting blessed this Sunday and my mom bought him an outfit without consulting me. Hideous tuxedo outfit. And I can't say anything. Oh well. The thought that counts, right?
Ugh. The little tux's just make me ill. They are all silky and have a little bow tie and some have a vest. They just look so stiff and weird to me.
Chas - I also like going against tradition. I know my mom will HATE this outfit because it isn't traditional.
I'm sorry Holly. Yeah, not much you can say. My mom told me today she had seen an outfit for Cooper and I just politely told her I had something already. :)
