Did you hear about this lawsuit with Wal.mart? I have made it my mission to shop there as little as possible, if at all. There are some scheming incredibly thoughtless greedy people who run that joint. I don't want to be any part of it.

today

I'm home today. I got about 3 hours of sleep last night... was up coughing for hours. I sound like I have a frog and his little friend toad in my throat. Just a plain old cold with nose blowing, sneezing, head and chest congestion and watery eyes. I must be feeling better though, cuz I just vacuumed my dining and living room and made a quesadilla. I think I sound far worse than I feel. I wish you could all hear me. It's kinda funny.

I took Ellie to daycare so I could just enjoy a day alone. It has been wonderful. I've caught up on some dvr and watched the first five episodes of Weeds. Have any of you seen this show? It is on Showtime. Since joining ne.tflix we've been able to rent so many good movies and tv shows that we don't get to see. Weeds is such a funny show. Greg and I both love it. Next up: Entourage. I **LOVE** Jer.emy Piv.en. I think he is soooo cute :)

the annual boys weekend...

So my hubby is going away for the weekend (and for all you creepy stalkers, don't worry, I won't be home alone... E and I are going to stay with my parents for the weekend). He is going to run his annual home town men's hockey tourney. I am not thrilled each year when this rolls around... as it involves beer, hockey, beer, silly boy behavior and more beer. Last year G fell on the ice and hit his head. Could have been really bad, luckily it wasn't. The year before that this is what happened to my car... could have been really bad, and it was. He demolished both tires. After deciding it would be a brilliant idea to drive after a day of beer, beer, a hotdog or two and more beer. STUPID. STUPID. STUPID.




If my car comes home like this again this year... I think I just might have to show him the door. j/k. Baby, have fun, be smart, behave and dive careful!!

What I'm listening to...

So I've stumbled upon this artist who I am loving. Her name is Ed.wina Hay.es. She is from the UK and I love her singing style... click here to go to her my s.pace page... my fav blogger mr. PH did a post on her a few weeks ago... many people think he's a blubbering idiot. Not me! He discovers some great artists and gets the word out... I think many of you will like her... especially you JH. She sings a song that Miss and Rachel put in my wedding video... Feels Like Home... it is the best song ever... but for some reason it has been removed from her my sp.ace page... but the others are just as good. Enjoy!

Today E and I got up at the butt crack of dawn to go to church. G worked overnight and came home around 6:30 this morning. He went upstairs to wake her up and she was not happy. She did not want to be up at 6:30 in the morning any more than I did. She cried through the entire bath and getting dressed. I thought church was going to be a chore with her... she didn't make a peep. She sat on my lap almost the entire time, sucking her thumb and laying her head on my shoulder. I can't believe I didn't take any pics of her in her cute little Easter dress, but I think G got one, so refer to his blog for the pics!

After church we went to visit my grandpa. We walked around the corner (he's in a nursing home) and out of one of the rooms walks this cute little orange and white kitty! E thought it was the greatest thing EVER and was up and down the hall looking for this cat almost the entire time we were there. Then on the way out we found him under this cart...

(I guess you can kind of see her dress there under her coat!) A cat in a nursing home!?!?!? All I kept thinking was what health codes are they breaking? Where is the litter box?? Some residents do not like cats (including my grandpa) so how do they allow this? Its not like he wants his door shut all day and he certainly cannot get out of bed to shoo the dang cat out of his room... hmmm...
