Luuuuuv weekends

Not to much going on this weekend. G is working overnights the weekend so E and I are pretty much on our own. We had E's first haircut on Thursday night. I forgot my camera, but my mom came out and took some pics so I will get them up as soon as I can. Then we went out for dinner at a yummy local Mexican Restaurant. Friday after work E and I finished up some grocery shopping and came home for the evening. We had a big day on Saturday and needed our beauty sleep! Saturday afternoon I had an appointment at a photo studio in town. I had entered E in a "cutest little baby face" contest. The photography studio is owned by two local women who also own a high end children's store in town. They have also created 2 awesome Cd's of lullaby's. The Cd's can be personalized with your child's name in the songs. I have put E to sleep with the CD since she was born. I LOVE it!

They are looking for 3 children to model their new line. They have over 100 entries. It was fun to be in the studio with E. My bff J came with and so did my sister. I thank god they came with cause they kept E laughing. There were a few moments where I thought we may have to reschedule cause she got a bit grumpy. Thank god we had gone to Sta.rb.ucks before hand and I gotten an iced vanilla latte... that kept her happy (and no I don't regularly give her a latte). The photographer seemed to think she had gotten the shots she needed after 3 outfits. I'm excited and hope she does well. The 3 winners receive free prints a blanket and the modeling "gig" as they call it.

Yesterday morning and this morning E has slept until after 8! I can't tell you the last time I slept until 8 a.m.!! I think her sleeping issues are resolving themselves finally. Thanks for all the advise everyone gave me a few posts back. We were really struggling. She has gone to bed all week for me without any dramatic scene. Last night she was so tired she pushed off me, wanting to lay down in her crib. I was like... Woooooooooo Hoooooooooooooo!!! Her napping schedule has definitely changed. She is now only taking one nap a day for about 1-2 hours. I sure did like those days of 2 - 2 hour plus naps.

Grandma M is coming to stay with us for the week. She will be here on Tuesday evening and we can't wait. I think it will be SO nice to have an extra hand around here. I think by the time Saturday gets here I am going to be begging her to move in! There are moments in life when I would give anything to have a nanny. I love the show To.ri & D.ean Inn Lov.e. Tori just had a little boy and they have a nanny and when I see her sleeping in, eating dinner in peace and being able to shower and get ready alone... I am so jealous!! I don't think I'd want one around 24/7. I'd have one work 7-10 a.m. on the weekends, just so I could sleep in! And maybe on a Friday or Saturday evening twice a month so G and I could actually have a life! ;)

I've gotta go clean up E. I swear after lunch it looks like a food fight has broken out in my kitchen. Time for a bath.
