It's kinda dark, splotchy and discolored in the middle. I think, as I also mentioned in an earlier post... I need to go see a dermatologist again. I had a mole removed from this same area a couple years ago that was just missed the classification of cancer. And both this one and the one I had removed are in the weirdest spot... under my left breast... which never sees the light of day!
I think I better stay out of the sun, huh.

Hey! I'm a stranger to you, but my friend Marni linked to your blog on hers, so I'm stopping by...
Anywho... Things to look for in a mole are:
-Look for asymmetry - that is, see whether the shape or color of one half of the mole does not match the other.
-Note any irregular borders, such as blurred edges.
-Examine the mole to see whether its color is no longer uniform.
-Be alert to any increases in the size of your mole, especially if its diameter is greater than 6mm.
-Check for any spread of pigment from your mole to the area of skin surrounding it.
-Note any redness in your mole, as well as changes in the surface, such as crusting or oozing.
-Be alert to changes in the sensation of your mole, such as pain or itchiness.
If you notice any of those things, you're supposed to talk to your doctor. That said, even if you don't, and are concerned, it can't hurt to ask, ya know? I have several moles that I keep a close eye on because I'm paranoid lol.
Good luck in your mole diagnosis!
Be safe and get it looked at!
If you've had a near cancerous mole before, then you should at least make an appointment for a mole check. That mole doesn't look that scary to me, but I'm no expert. I've had a few moles removed, but mine were all a lot darker than that...I have TONS of moles. I just made an appointment for myself for this coming January...can you believe the wait!?!
With our family history K- especially gram, you def need to get that looked at. My mom would drag you to the doc if she knew. Better safe than sorry!
Just get it checked out...better safe and sorry! IS IT YOUR LAST WORK DAY B4 VACATION????
Definitely get it checked out!
I think you need to have us say it so here goes. Yes it looks suspicious and yes you need to have it looked at. Think of Ellie everytime you look at it and you will think to yourself, self, I am being selfish as my daughter needs me and if it is nothing oh well, a wasted day but if not then thank god I caught it early. Not to mention your friends need you too.
I am not trying to scare you but then again maybe I am...I do not want anything bad to happen to you so get it checked.
J
Hey dudette - you received plenty of good advice about the mole thang'...just wanted to plug in and say "HOT NAILS"!!!!!!!!!!
-studmuffinette- :)
I would get it checked just to be safe. You don't want to mess with that.
Oh and your nails are super cute!
