Monkey See... Monkey Do...

We went to the zoo this past weekend... it was SUPER fun and relaxing... and very beautiful outside. When I say we, I mean E and I... along w/ G's mom, g-ma, aunt, sister and brother-in-law. G had to work :( I love the zoo! It is one of my fav things to do. They had a beautiful flower show at the conservatory... we got some pics of E w/ them... she just wasn't to interested in us... only the flowers!

The zoo wasn't quite up to its regular summer appearance... a few of the animals were inside what looked like a gymnasium... it was kinda sad... especially the giraffes and zebras...

But back to the flowers... they were georgous!

So, this gave me an idea... I think we are going to plan E's 1st birthday party at the zoo! It is free and there is a large area were we could picinic and play... sounds fun... we'll see what happens. It falls on an otherwise busy weekend for most people, so it may have to be the weekend before or after her actual birthday... hmmmm....

Here are some more zoo pics w/ G's family... I can't wait to go back!!

Oh, one funny thing that happened at the zoo... we were looking in at the monkey's... long skinny arms, legs and tails... this one in particular was a ham of a monkey... he was walking up to the kids and kinda making faces and mocking them right up at the glass... it was really funny... but then he came up to E and she didn't know what to think... he took one look at her and she started screaming... it was pretty funny... smartass little monkey.

I also saw a big black gorilla puke in his hands and the proceed to eat it out of his hands, piece by piece... totally gross.

So yeahhhhh! It's friday tomorrow... thanks god. G's work schedule has now changed so for the next 3 months I tend to feel like a single mom... not fun, when you're used to two, wow, its a lot more work... T, you're amazing!! And I LOVE my hair!!! Thanks!!! p.s. I blow dried it really good thursday a.m.!! If you are wondering what all that just was... my friend T fixed my botched color job. I seriously had orangish/gold hair. It was horrible... it is MUCH better now!

For all of you who love music... G bought me the greatest new cd, her name is Corinne Bailey Rae. It is great music! Kinda sounds like Norah Jones... soft, low key and funky. I love it... I highly recommend it. You might recognize song #'s 1 & 3.

Oh, one more thing (see this is what happens when I wait to long to blog, I have a mile long entry) last friday night we went out to dinner for G's g-ma's 80th birthday... G's mom rented a limo and we went to a wonderful resteraunt in the cities called the Melting Pot... mmmmmm... a yummy fondue place, I recommend it to everyone, it was great. And g-ma M, I hope you did find that check somewhere in your purse!

Have a great weekend everyone... K
