Good Saturday morning everyone! So it seems that I'm consistently only getting to do posts on the weekends... it's the only time I get to sit on the couch and catch my breath! And since we only have ONE computer... and my hubby is a computer HOG... I guess this is it!
I took Ellie to her 24 month appt on Tuesday afternoon. She weighed 26 lbs which is somewhere in the 30th percentile... she was somewhere in the 30th percentile for her height also and was in the 89th percentile for head circumference! (Thank you very much daddy!) She has a little fluid still in her left ear which, at this time anyway, we are not treating... just keeping an eye on it. We just can't seem to get that cleared up! Another thing we've noticed over the last month or so is her itching. She seems to be itching/scratching something almost everyday. Itching so hard that she bleeds. It is usually her legs, arms or chest/belly area. Dr. H thinks she's got some form of contact dermatitis. Possibly the start of allergies/asthma (which her daddy has both). So we've now started the regimen of 20 min cool baths every night (no more smelly bath products, only Aveeno for us)... patting her dry and lathering her with either Aveeno or Cetaphil lotion... and a half teaspoon of benedryl. Then in the a.m. before getting her dressed I lather her up again. So far it seems to be working.
On the business front we've made some changes... I was feeling a little hesitant/scared/nervous/ to take out a loan for this store we have been looking at purchasing. Mainly for reasons like, I have a young child who I need to look out for, we do not have the financial freedom like my sis and her hubby do, etc. So at this point things have changed somewhat. We've played around with this idea for some time. But both Kate and I have resisted it... not wanting anything but for this to be a 50/50 partnership. But the other day at work I was just overcome with peace. I felt 100% at peace with the idea of her buying the store and me working for her. So at this point that is what we are working towards. It gives me a little more freedom, less worries, as an employee I'm guaranteed a paycheck and the option to buy out half in the future if I feel it is the right thing to do.
Everything is into the bank at this time... except we are waiting for Kate's life insurance lady to get back to her with some info regarding her policy. After that we should be hearing within the next couple weeks about financing!! I am so excited. SO EXCITED!
Our friend Kt just bought a local coffee shop in the area. If you are from around here you'll know which one I mean! She just started her own blog to keep track of their venture... it's called A Cup at a Time...check it out!

Hubbies are supposed to be computer hogs. Its in the job description!
Not to mention that this week you got a new cousin (2nd). Just thought I'd remind you ;-)
Both Porgie and Izzy's heads are in the 90th percentile. Apparently we have big heads over in Cakerwakerville. You know, to accommodate our big brains.
