Whew. Another week gone. Another week of training in the new employee at work... hopefully Monday I'll be able to be on my own! In my own office... no longer at the front desk! Movin on up! (Don't get me wrong, I don't love my job or anything. It's just nice that now I can go the the potty room without having to ask someone to cover the front desk while I'm gone!)

This weekend is the big 100 mile garage sale around the lake. I got a head start on Wednesday night when a friend of mine sent an email out that she was going to let us all come to her sale early! She has 2 little girls a bit older than Ellie... so I was super excited! Her girls are dressed SO cute all the time (they also go to Ellie's daycare). I got 2 bags full of the cutest clothes for $14.25. (I'll post pics soon) My mom also bought her a toddler bed and a bedding set from Pottery Barn. (I'll also post pics of that soon)

I've been looking for some Little Tikes outdoor toys for Ellie and of course I'd rather pay garage sale prices than store prices! A girl I work with heard I was looking for some Little Tikes things and she went home on her lunch break and brought me back the little yellow and red cozy coupe!! And she wanted no money for it! It is a bit beat up and dirty... but the second Ellie saw it she wanted to get in it! I could barely wipe it out!!

Now this morning my mom and sister went garage saleing... I got a call at work this morning and they had found a Dora tent. (for $3!!!!!!!!!!) Seriously, this thing is HUGE and so cute! (will post pics soon) plus they each have a few bags of clothes for Ellie.

I sent my sister to one sale in particular to check out a pull cart for behind my bike... one that Ellie could ride in. It is awesome and only cost $15!! And it is one that has 3 wheels and can turn into a stroller... (I'll post pics soon)

On my lunch break today one of the ladies I work with asked if I wanted to hit a sale with her at one of our beautiful bed and breakfasts in town... this was a great garage sale! I came home with a pretty necklace for myself, a brand new yoga/pilates mat for my mom, something for a girlfriends baby shower coming up this summer (no, not a gift, just something for decorative purposes!), 2 packages of cute paper napkins and a never used set of interlocking padded color squares for a playroom floor. $36 for everything. Not bad. (I can't wait to post pics!)

I sold my camera to my sister (cause I want a smaller one) so I am cameraless and that really sucks! Especially since I am getting all these great deals and I can't show any of you!!!

Once the "economic stimulus" package gets here I'll be treating myself to a camera. Something compact, simple and small that will easily fit in my purse. I hated that the one I had had to have it's own bag... I don't have enough arms for a purse, diaper bag and a camera bag... anyone have any suggestions for a good camera? The things that are important to me are: size, quick shutter speed, easy to use, not to many bells and whistles... suggestions?

p.s. Ellie has been going to bed great! Especially since we got the toddler bed on Wednesday night. It is much more her size than a twin bed. She thinks it is the coolest thing ever!

I HEART garage sales...about 95% of my kids' stuff has come from them. I am sad b.c Ella and Tate are to the ages (sizes) where its REALLY hard to find nice stuff anymore...oh well, I had several good years of cheap stuff! =)

Sounds like you got some awesome stuff! I need to get some of the Little Tykes stuff for Ava too, but like you I'm not excited about having to pay regular price for them.

Can't wait to see the pics!

I'm always in the market for a good bargain. I'm not great about getting up and hitting garage sales, but I have managed to find Lila outdoor play stuff on the cheap. She also loves her Cozy Coupe, which is VERY used.

About the camera, I asked the same question on my blog several months ago, and I got a lot of response. However, I realized that everyone things their own camera is great, so I ended up with no better idea than I started with. You should go to cnet.com and read their reviews. They have professionals that try out these cameras and give you detailed reviews on every aspect of the camera.
