home sick: part deux

Home again.  Last night was like hell on earth.  No joke.  The sewer gas smell was so bad (remember pg girl's nose is x200) and I had a terrible headache... so after the furnace guy came out to be sure it wasn't a propane leak... Ellie and I left Greg at home (his choice) and headed to my parents guest room for the night.  It was awful.  We were both in bed by 8:30.  But I swear my wonderful, cute, funny little girl turned into some scary creature who felt like waking me up ever 4 minutes ALL NIGHT LONG.  She would cough (lots of crud in her throat/chest/nose) then cry and tell me she didn't feel good.  Again, over and over all damn night long.  I felt so bad for her (ok and me)...  I have not had such a killer headache in forever.  So this went on all night.  I called Greg at 2 a.m. telling him how pissed I was to not be getting any sleep.  Nice huh?  I'm such a brat.

So I woke up at 7 (or really Ellie woke me up) we called Greg.  He came into town and picked up some Motrin and breakfast for us then we all headed home.  I immediately went to bed and slept til noon.  Him and Ellie cuddled on the couch and watched cartoons and snoozed.  That brings us to this afternoon.  We are all up and alive.  Ellie is still out of sorts, fever, cough and she is whispering now and telling us her throat hurts.  

If things don't get better by morning she'll probably go in to see the dr.  I just want to be sure she doesn't have an ear infection or strep.  

Oh and Greg called in tonight so he can be on Ellie duty.  Bless him!
