today

Today was a good day for a change! Not that my days are usually bad... they just don't always go so smoothly.

I got up while G and E slept in. He had the day off and E stays home with G on those days. (His work schedule is 12 hour shifts and he works 5 days one week 2 days the next, alternating. So E only ends up going to daycare about 10 days a month, other wise she's home with daddy, which is super nice and makes me feel better about working FT!) I'd *HATE* to have her in daycare 5 days a week. That would break my heart. Ok, ok, back to my day...

Got up, showered and was having a GREAT hair day. Love when that happens, doesn't happen often! Then as I'm walking out the door I hear one of the cats hacking away. She ralphed all over the living room floor... and finished up in the kitchen. Totally gross. So I had to stop and clean that up... not the best start to the morning, but I still made it to work on time so that's what counts!

I had a busy and productive day at work. I feel like I got a lot of work done. Which feels awesome! Since I am overloaded with case openings and other projects... for the first time in weeks work was tolerable. I can't believe I just said that. I'm sure it won't last long! :) It also flew by, which helps a ton!

During my morning break I ran to my optical place. I need my lenses replaced... after my insane night you all heard about I came home with scratched lenses. Go figure. I thought I would be without my glasses all week cause I thought they'd have to send them away... yeah for plastic lenses cause they can replace lenses in plastic frames on sight! And when they asked if I had the protection plan thingy I said no, I never buy that. Well she looked up my account and apparently it came automatically with the lenses I bought! WHOOO HOOOO! Free lenses after I was an idiot and probably deserved to pay for them!

Then on my lunch break I ran to E's daycare to pick up some paperwork. For some reason I have misplaced my entire daycare contract, schedule, immunization info, sick day info, etc. We pay S for certain holidays throughout the year and I was thinking I had to pay for Monday the 18th. But again WHOOOO HOOOOO! I didn't. Add $30 back into the check book! Yeah!

After work my mom and I went to get our nails filled. I tried to take a pic of the cute little hearts the girl painted on one of my fingers but it wouldn't turn out for some reason and I don't get my camera. It is to complicated. I want my plain little old one back!

G is at bowling and E is in bed. LOVELY. Me time. I love this time I get for myself. Miss, I don't know how you do it!? 4 kids and you still get a nap during the day!? What they heck do you bribe those kids with!? j/k

I just started reading an Op.rah book called Midd.lesex. Have any of you read this? I'm interested to hear what you thought about it, without spoiling anything for me. It is kind of an odd book in the beginning... should I keep reading?

Ok, time for 100% me time. I'm going to go to bed, read and relax. Night!

I wish we had a daycare around here that took kids part time like that. Oh sure, Emma could go only part time (my husband's schedule is the same as your husband's) but we'd still have to pay full time.

You just reminded me of one big reason I don't miss having a cat! Mine vomited at least once a day.

You should try using G's fancy new SLR to take the pic of your nail! That camera should be able to take really up close shots.

And lastly, my mom started reading Middlesex when we were on vacation back in October. I don't think she ever finished.
