For months now we have attempted to get Ellie to regularly go in the potty. She had it down for a couple weeks... then things went backwards. We even went back into diapers.
Last week at daycare our provider thought Ellie might have a urinary tract infection. So Greg took her to the dr the next day and she was all clear. He discussed with the dr our struggles with potty training and right away dr. H asked if we were using pull-ups. We were and he said to stop. He said pull-ups tend to confuse kids as they are more like underwear but yet they can still pee in them. So yeah. That day we started underwear. She averages 1 accident a day (pee) and today for the first time we were accident free! Yay for dr. H for giving us much needed (simple) advice... and yay for Ellie for FINALLY getting trained.
It feels so good to not have to buy diapers and pull-ups anymore!!
Until September that is... :)

Yeah! hip hip hooray!
That's what worked with our Ellie, too. Her daycare told me to send her in panties and after the first day she didn't have any more accidents at school.
I haven't even started potty training Porgie. I don't know what I am waiting for.
