Happy 29th to me!!!

Well I have to say, this has probably been the best birthday I have had in years. It was just a genuinely great time... I broke my glasses and really needed a new pair... they are a bit spendy, so my mom & dad paid for half of them for me... that was a great gift for my b-day! The picture below shows my new glasses... I'm typically quite a plain jane... I had to step WAY outside my box for these!! My sister and her hubby are giving me a subscription to US Weekly (I think) which is great, cause when you buy them for $3.49 every week that adds up quickly! And from G and E I got to go and pick out the bag I've been wanting at Target... love this diaper bag... but I'm using it as a purse :) I also got a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble from my mother-in-law, some great Arbonne products from T and a super cute flip-flop martini glass from J. Thanks guys!!!

On Thursday my parents took K & S and G & I to this awesome new resteraunt called Vino in the Valley. I highly recommend it to everyone! It was excellent. It is at this man's home... he owns acres of land that he has turned into a vinyard. He has created this outdoor patio w/ a roof (no sides) so you eat outside looking over these vinyards in the valley. He has great wine and a limited menu, only 4 options for dinner, 2 salads and 2 pasta choices. He has had to fight for this place to open... apparently neighboring property owners wanted nothing to do w/ this... they didn't want the traffic, loud music, etc. Which is crazy cuz there seriously isn't a home in sight. He has so many limitations such as not being allowed to amplify any music and not being allowed to post any signs along the highway. So anyways we waited for a table, while drinking wine and eating homemade bread at the bar. Finally we got a nice table and I enjoyed the most delicious pasta w/ white sauce and asparagus. It was YUMMY. So, I really recommend visiting Vino in the Valley... this guy had to fight hard to get this place open and I suggest we all support him, you won't be disapointed! Here we are at dinner...
On friday night G had a BBQ for me. It was really laid back and relaxing... He asked everyone to be there between 5 & 6... well at 6:30 I was getting a bit sad, no one had showed... happy birthday to me, huh. Well, finally my parents came... we started the grill, then B & T got there w/ the girls, then T & H came and finally Teeg & Ter came w/ another friend of their's... what a mish mash of people but we ended up having a really good time! Enjoyed dinner, drinks and a bonfire. Finally got to bed around 12:30... and was woken up at 4 by my wonderful daughter who wanted to play... yes at 4 a.m. Was up until about 4:45, then finally got to go back to bed and she slept til 8! I think that is the latest she has EVER slept... ususally she's up between 6-6:30. If any readers are considering becoming parents... be prepared for huge changes in your sleeping patterns!!!

And just one more reminder of how freakin cute our little girl is!
