Sicko, Pampered Chef & Grandpa

My mom the sicko. She was feeling great last Thursday... started feeling the crampy stomach on Friday... w/ frequent trips to the potty... (sorry mom) then she slept all night Friday, all day Sat, all night Sat night then finally Sunday morning my dad took her to the ER. She'd also had a fever and some waves of abdomen pain. So... in the end, we found out she has diverticulitis (no clue if that is how it's spelled?!). Pockets in the colon that collect certain types of food and then become infected. She was admitted into the hospital and given IV antibiotics starting Sunday afternoon... and she just got out today! She had a few other minor issues to have checked out, but all of those came out ok. So she is home now, thank god, and hopefully relaxes for a good couple of days... if not another week. But knowing my mom she'll be up and going by tomorrow. Actually she already told me, after I offered to pick her up for a bridal shower on Saturday, that she had to get there early because she had promised she would help set up. She can never just chill out. Help set up?! She just freakin got out of the hospital!!!! Mom, if you're reading this... I'll pick you up at 9:30!

So my sister started selling Pampered Chef. It is way cool stuff... after looking at the catelog I realized just how much of it I really had! I love all the stuff. It is so fun. I kinda wanna start to sell it myself... but wonder if that is to much competition to close?? I'll have to check into it.

My grandpa decided he isn't going to go home and is choosing to stay in the nursing home. Therefore he needed to get rid of his apartment and most of his belongings. Greg and I decided to buy his 1998 Buick LeSabre. It only had 39,000 and some odd miles on it. It is in great condition and of course we were given and excellent price, since it was grandpa's!

And for all of you who haven't seen my house... you can kinda see it behind the car! Maybe I'll take some pics of the house so those of you who haven't been here can see it. Someday... if I get the energy...

Back to Sicko... make sure you all go check out Michael Moore's new documentary called "Sicko". It is all abou the current state of our health care system in the United States. It will get you all thinking... it is something EVERYONE should see!

Alright, time for me to go relax and read the paper. Take care all of you and congrats Studmuffinette...

p.s. remember when you comment on the blog, please give some indication of who you are!! Thanks!

Night. K
