E

I haven't done a post about E for quite some time... this is long overdue. Wow, E is 20 months old already! She has only been in my life for 20 months and I can say I've never loved something so little, so much. Every day she does or says something new that makes me laugh or think, wow this is so cool. I love being a parent. Some of her new things...

* she pretends to lay down on a pillow and fake snores... and then looks at me and says, "shhh baby", like her baby is sleeping and I'm being to loud!

* when she is doing something naughty and I tell her no, she diverts her eyes, making absolutely no eye contact with me. She will look up, down, side to side, but not anywhere near me. It is so hard to no laugh at her!

* she came home the other day from daycare and seems to have picked up the word thank you... and uses it at appropriate times which is awesome. I'll give her a glass of juice and she say, "tank u". Melts my heart.

* another thing she has picked up from daycare is, "mine". That one isn't so fun. She thinks everything in the house is hers.

* she has learned the word beer. Thanks daddy! And even worse, today she walked into the kitchen with G's can of beer, which was open (he left it on the table next to his chair) and her lips were wet and smelled like beer... and all she kept saying was, "mmmmm" apparently she like it!

* she loves to color. I think she'd do it 24/7 if I let her. She is constantly saying, "cula, cula".

* lately all she will eat is chicken nuggets and fruit. She has been very picky... she has been getting a few big molars in though this past 2 weeks, so that may have something to do with it.

* she loves to help me throw clothes in the dryer... she loves to help me feed the cats... she will sit on the floor or on her little picnic table and pat the floor for me or G to come sit next to her.

* she knows the alphabet from a-g... it cracks me up how many times she sings it everyday... we are working on the rest and have now started counting to 10.

* all she wants to do is watch Shr.ek... I think it was getting a little out of control so I haven't put it on in over a week... but what is funny is that when I put it on she doesn't pay attention anyway... she plays... and when I go to turn it off, no matter what she is doing she'll run to me screaming "NO!" I'm like, E you aren't even watching it!!

* she wants a barrette in her hair at all times. If she doesn't have one she freaks out. She doesn't even want me to take it out when she goes to bed, so I put her to bed and go in and take it out before I go to bed. The strange things these little ones get attached to!

Today I asked her if she wanted a baby sister or brother. She told me no. And the look I got from G tells me that her answer was the correct answer. For now anyway! (hee, hee)
