I was so weepy most days this week at work. Just dreading Thursday evening when we went for our interview. I tried so hard not to cry multiple times at work. And I kept telling myself that I could not cry when we walked into the place or this woman was going to think I was nuts, crying over an 18 month old going to daycare!! But somthing happened when we walked in. E was happy. Content. Interested in exploring. And after the tour, questions and answers and lots of paperwork the last thing she wanted to do was leave. I kept saying it was time to go and she would look at me, shake her head and say "no!" We had to carry her out kicking and screaming!
Today I took off the afternoon from work and we all went to spend the afternoon at SD's. We wanted E to get a chance to play with the kids and feel somewhat comfortable with the place before Monday came. Well, silly us, that was totally not neccesary! She just ran right up to all the toys and kids and ignored us the entire time! I was so happy!! And I didn't even come close to crying once!!!
The benefits of this daycare are amazing. I don't have to provide anything what so ever, except diapers. SD provides wipes, butt cream, breakfast, lunch, snack, sippy cups, bibs, etc. I am so excited to not have to pack a diaper bag everyday! When LA was watching E I was paying her the exact same amount, $30 per day, and I had to provide everything! E will have her own bin there for an extra change of clothes and whatever she needs with a nap. And get this!!! They provide daycare coverage 2 Friday nights a month from 5 pm to 12 am for $3 an hour!! We might actually get a date night once a month!!!!! We are so excited. Oh... and you don't think it can get any better than that??? Get this... they also provide overnight daycare on New Year's Eve from 5 pm to 10 am the next morning!!!! Sweet huh!?!? We're all over that. Although I think E is to young for an overnight somewhere like that. I'd be ok with it at say... my parents or another family member or close friend... but not sure about daycare yet.
I am so tired, it has been a long week. I'm going to leave you with a few pics from Halloween. Our sweet little bug she was!

It's so awesome to hear this is going to work out for you! Kids are so much more adept at change then we are.
I'm so glad to hear that you've found this place! What a great place. Where I live, $30.00 per day is very expensive, but I know these things differ other places.
Did G tell you that I almost bought Lila that same exact costume? I had it in my hand at a recent consignment sale, but I put it back at the last second when I decided to make Lila's. We must be on the same wave length :).
I know what a relief it is to find a daycare you like. I don't feel as guilty leaving Ellie now that I know she is happy there.
E looks so cute in her little lady bug costumes. She is a sound sleeper!
The new daycare sounds great! And the after hour stuff? ROCK ON! I need to start saving for daycare next fall GAH! Mine is 125 a week...plus I do diapers, wipes and formula...she is THE BEST DP (daycare provider) ever so I guess when I only have 2 to choose from in BFE I am lucky! Hope today went well as the first FULL DAY!
