ummm, ok

She's already stopped. I'm dumbfounded. Maybe I do just need to let her cry. And yes, 6:30 is earlier than normal. She didn't have an afternoon nap today.

Ellie normally goes to bed without a fuss, but every once in awhile she will pitch a fit. I usually give her 10 minutes. And almost always she is asleep in less than that. But if she is still crying in 10, I take her out, let her play a bit longer, than do the nigh nigh ritual all over again. Works like a charm. But, you know, every kid is different :)

I was not a cry it out kind of parent when Lila was younger. I just couldn't do it. Now I don't really have a problem with it. Now, if it's excessive crying, I still can't do it, but if it's just ten or fifteen minutes I can handle it.

We just let our two cry it out. They figure it out pretty quick. If you run in there at the first sign of a cry, they will figure out how to not go to bed alone.
