I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but I ~LOVE~ documentaries. We recently joined Ne.tflix and that's what I've mostly rented. I've seen one on brothels in India, one on 2 sisters who were molested as young children who confront their molester in their adult life, one on anorexia and a live in facility where they highlighted a few girls's stories... and of course Si.cko by Mich.eal Moo.re (which is excellent by the way). Tonight I'm watching one called Je.sus Camp. It is very interesting... as I have mixed feelings on organized religion and the "business" it seems to have become. I prefer to have my own understanding and beliefs and don't feel I need to congregate to share in those beliefs with others... it's not that I never go to church... sometimes I'm just turned off by it. But this is a little much. These poor, poor children in this movie... so naive, so unsure of who they are, so easily persuaded... these kids are like 6 years old and are crying and yelling, "no more god, no more!" because they are being taught about abortion. That just seems wrong. I think there are more age appropriate lessons to be taught about god. These are the things that really bother me about the world of extreme religion today...

That is pretty disturbing.

Just like with anything that people feel passionate about, there will always be extremists. Don't let big business churches turn you away from Christianity; that isn't what Jesus meant for it to be.

I catch some good ones on the DOC channel once in awhile...did you ever see the one that followed some women with breast cancer? WOW!
I am holding you to the pool thing this summer!

I agree with Chas...I think so many churches make Jesus sad. He is about relationships, grace, love, forgiveness...not rules and regulations. Infact, that is why he was killed, b.c He spoke AGAINST that!
